No More Hiding...The Freedom of Confession

Evangelist Pastor Aaron Blaine

What if the very thing you’re trying to hide is the thing God is asking you to surrender? In Psalm 32, we are reminded that there is freedom in bringing our whole selves before God. He already knows our hearts, our struggles, our failures, and the things we try so hard to keep hidden. We cannot hide our secrets from an all-knowing God, but we can choose to stop hiding from Him.

When we refuse to confess, the weight of what we carry can begin to crush us. But when we get raw, real, and honest in the presence of God, we make room for His forgiveness, healing, and freedom. Confession is not about being condemned; it is about being set free. Conviction is God drawing us back to Him, not pushing us away. There is a difference between the enemy using shame to keep you bound and the Holy Spirit using conviction to lead you toward repentance.

You don't have to pretend to be okay in God's presence. You don't have to clean yourself up before you come to Him. He already knows, He still loves you, and He is calling you to lay it all down. It's time to stop hiding, start confessing, and experience the freedom that comes from walking honestly with God.

Scripture: Psalm 32

You cannot experience the freedom of surrender while holding on to the things God is asking you to release.
